ARP – Your FINMA-licensed independent asset manager since 2002
ARP Vermögensverwaltungs AG is an independent Swiss asset management firm based in Zurich, which specialises in providing ongoing, comprehensive and all-round asset management.
ARP is privately owned by its founders and is a partner company of Aquila AG.
Extensive training in banking and a degree in Business Administration from Bern were the starting point for my international career.
Whether as a consultant, supervisor, trainer or partner, from the beginning my work has revolved around three main pillars: quality of service, accountability and client focus. My extensive travels and stays abroad further reinforced this thinking.
I was able to gain valuable experience in the investment business as a client advisor at various renowned Swiss banks before a project took me to Marbella (Spain) for almost five years as Head of Private Banking.
I got to know and appreciate the Spanish market even after my return to Switzerland, which is why I continued to develop relations as a member of the management team for a Swiss private bank.
In all of these posts I learned that behavioural patterns have to be adapted time and time again and that being open-minded about other ideas helps build trust. Only those who try to understand will be respected by their counterparts.
As a member of the Aquila Group for more than 20 years, I have been happy to share my knowledge and experience and to make my professional and social competence available to you.
With me, you get the highest level of professionalism and unwavering commitment.
Bente has now been working in the financial sector for 22 years.
She has worked as an independent asset manager since completing her Business Administration degree in 2006, which she did part-time.
She has been a partner at ARP Vermögensverwaltungs AG in Zurich since 2020.
In 2006, I graduated as a business economist at HFW, completing my comprehensive training in Neuchâtel.
For 20 years, I worked successfully for a major Swiss bank and a well-known private Swiss bank. I gained international work experience in Uruguay – a unique and helpful experience that I will always remember fondly and which helped me to develop a great deal.
I have always been fortunate to be able to advise and look after not only Swiss but also international clients. I got to know and appreciate a variety of cultures and different ways of thinking.
Because of my entrepreneurial character and thinking, more than seven years ago, I decided to take the road to self-employment and independence in order to put what I had learned in the past into practice in an individualised way for my customers.
My work is based on mutual respect, trust, integrity, continuity and reliability. I offer individual and personal advice at any time. Everyone is offered exactly what he or she needs.
I work as a partner at ARP Vermögensverwaltungs AG. We are independet and not product sellers. Since 2016, I am a member of the Aquila Group.
It would be an honour and a pleasure to meet and advise you!
Growing up in the mountain valley of Davos, I was interested in foreign countries and cultures from an early age.
I “landed” at SKA, now Credit Suisse, in the early 1980s after studying in St. Gallen and Zurich. There I learned decency, respect and responsibility towards clients.
The following years brought various projects in Switzerland (Zurich and Geneva) but also abroad (Japan, Luxembourg, Germany, Jersey, and Liechtenstein). The assignments were varied and included restructuring, merging entities, managing sometimes very large teams in different jurisdictions, and looking after complex client relationships.
My roles at that time enabled me to get to know the different ways of thinking, family structures and values in other cultures.
I realised early on that advice, support and trust are much more important than pure selling, which is often what banks want. Every relationship has its own dynamics; every client profile is unique and every relationship can change, not only for personal reasons, but also due to economic and political changes. This means you cannot sell; you have to listen, understand and prove yourself worthy of the responsibility you’ve been given.
It also means facing up to all the changes in the financial sector, being aware and carrying out the necessary adjustments.
The decision more than 12 years ago to say “goodbye” to ‘pure banking’ was the right one. Since then, it has allowed me to look after clients, families and also companies of different types, free of any outside interests. I am pleased to be able to bring all of this to ARP Vermögensverwaltungs AG.
I chose this mantra early on:
Success in life and the hustle and bustle of the world,
comes to he who keeps calm, his sense of humour and nerves of steel
(and “success” not only refers to financial success but also other “successes” including your health or in private or family life).
